Trailer of the Week: The Last Witch Hunter

You know what makes writing this difficult? It is the fact that selecting the trailer for my trailer of the week post was incredibly difficult. Seriously, when you have movies like, Mockingjay Part 2, Allegiant, or The Jungle Book release their trailers one after the other what are you to do? So of course I went with the one that made the most sense, The Last Witch Hunter, I mean come on Vin Diesel and magic? Who wouldn’t? Aside from Werewolves, Zombies, Little Asian Ghost Girls, and Demonic Possessions if the movie has something to do with magic or some type of fantasy aspect to it then sign me up.

So if you don’t like my choice then oh well, who is writing this? I am, so suck it up. The Last Witch Hunter directed by Breck Eisner (The Crazies) stars Vin Diesel who plays Kaulder, a member of the, Axe & Cross, a secret society that stands against Witches and the forces of darkness to keep humanity safe. When the covens of New York City begin to war it is up to him to keep a plague from overtaking the city. However, for reasons not yet explained in the trailers; in order to do this he needs to enter the dream world which requires him to team up with his mortal enemy, a witch. Said witch is named Chloe played by rising actress, Rose Leslie (Ygritte, Game of Thrones), who is a dream walker.

Diesel is also aided in this quest by a priest named, Dolan Thirty-Seven (Elijah Wood), and Dolan Thirty-Six (Michael Caine), both who are also a part of the Axe & Cross.

According to comments by fans and haters all over the world, this movie is going to be another piece of Hollywood crap, and also one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. Personally I don’t agree with either side, of course I don’t think it’s going to be crap (for one it’s not being written or directed by M. Night), but I also don’t think it’s going to be a huge blockbuster, I think it’ll just be a good movie.

The film is set to release October 23rd, and without further ado set your eyes on this amazing trailer.

Who doesn't love a good TV show? I know I do, horror, sci-fi, fantasy, drama, etc. If it gets my attention and keeps it then you know I'm a fan. The only thing I love more than shows is movie trailers. Aside from the actual movie, trailers are amazing as they give me just enough content to build up the suspense of finally watching it. I may not be your average comic-book geek. but when it comes to TV and the Silver Screen you can bet that I'm geeking out.
