Bound For Glory Preview: On TNA’s Biggest Night, Who Will Make An Impact?

Sunday night TNA Wrestling presents their biggest show of the year Bound For Glory. The show that’s the TNA equivalent to WrestleMania features an action packed seven match card that promise not to disappoint. With a huge triple threat main event for the TNA Championship, the return of the legendary Kurt Angle, and the excitement of the Ultimate X match this has all the makings of a night to be remembered.

X Division Championship: Ultimate X

Tigre Uno© vs. DJ Z vs. Manik vs. Andrew Everett

The high flying excitement of the X division will be on display as the champion Tigre Uno defends against former champions DJ Z, Manik, and Andrew Everett in the signature Ultimate X match. The X division Championship will be hanging in the balance when these four men go to war in one of the most dangerous matches in wrestling today.

Eric Young vs. Kurt Angle

The unpredictable and unstable Eric goes one on one with the Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle at Bound For Glory. After having neck surgery due to a tumor in his neck back in July, Kurt Angle was put on the shelf at the hands of Eric Young. The man who previously cost Angle the TNA Championship to Ethan Carter III, Eric Young had it out for the Hall of Famer with attacks out of nowhere and hitting Angle with his vicious pile-drivers–even going as far to ask how many pile-drivers does that neck have left. On Sunday, we find out if the the diabolical Eric Young will finally get rid of Kurt Angle for good, or will the cyborg break the ankle of his nemesis.

King of The Mountain Championship

Bobby Roode© vs. Bobby Lashley

Two former world champions who know each other very well collide at Bound For Glory. The “It Factor of Professional Wrestling” and King of The Mountain Champion Bobby Roode takes on “The Destroyer” Bobby Lashley. Coming off of a series of Match of the Year worthy World Title matches earlier this year, these two warriors clash one more time. Lashley claims that he’s in TNA to win as many titles as he can and after his opponent laid out an open challenge to anybody, Bobby Lashley gladly accepted. Who will come out on top as the King of The Mountain at Bound For Glory?

9 man Bound For Gold Match

While Drew Galloway and Matt Hardy battle Ethan Carter III for the World Championship in the main event, nine men will battle in an all or nothing Bound for Gold match for a shot at a future World Championship match. The match consists of former world champions and some up and coming title contenders like Mr. Anderson, Abyss, Robbie E, Tyrus, Eli Drake, Chris Melendez, Jesse Godderz, Mahabali Shera, and Aiden O’Shea. This match will be a highlight bout and Ethan Carter III will most definitely be watching this matchup very closely.

TNA World Tag Team Championships

The Wolves© vs. Brian Myers and Trevor Lee

During the Global Force Wrestling takeover of TNA led by Jeff Jarrett, the newly formed team of Brian Myers and Trevor Lee bursted onto the tag team scene by beating two other teams to become number one contenders for the wolves on a recent episode of Impact wrestling. Lee and Myers would later go onto beat the tag champs the wolves only to lose them the following week. And when Jeff Jarrett failed to gain power from TNA by losing a lethal lockdown match that caused the GFW roster to leave TNA, the champions thought they saw the last of Myers and Lee but the team from GFW would claim their rematch clause and at Bound For Glory we will see which team will come out on top. This tag team showdown is expected to tear the house down.

Knockouts Championship

Gail Kim© vs. Awesome Kong

With a storied rivalry that changed the face of womens wrestling dating back to 2008, these two women square off again to show the world not only can they still put on a show but one of these great champions are the best knockouts in TNA history. Awesome Kong has reigned dominant over the knockouts division for years and has conquered every woman in her path, but her battles with the first ever Knockouts Champion Gail Kim gave her some real challenges. This matchup will add to a legacy that these two women built and they will leave it all out in the ring at Bound For Glory. Who will be considered the best Knockouts Champion in history? Find out this Sunday on pay per view.

TNA World Championship (Triple Threat Match)

Ethan Carter III© vs. Drew Galloway vs. Matt Hardy (Special Guest Referee: Jeff Hardy)

Since Drew Galloway arrived in TNA, he’s overcome the odds to earn a number one contender spot. From fighting against the authority of the Beat Down Clan or the betrayal from his former partner Eli Drake, Galloway beat these odds with one goal in mind: becoming the TNA World Champion and bringing change to TNA. Throughout the illustrious career of Matt Hardy one highlight that has eluded him is becoming a world champion (the WWECW Championship dosen’t count come on now). Hardy wants to be able to prove not only to himself, but to the world, that he can be a champion. Coming up short on two separate occasions, Matt Hardy vows that in his home state of North Carolina things will change. Standing in the way of Galloway and Hardy though is the arrogant, brash, cocky, undefeated Heavyweight Champion of the world Ethan Carter III and he will stop at nothing to make sure his family name and his championship stay intact. But with the odds stacked against him and with the world watching, will the unbreakable-undisputed-undefeated-undeniable champion reign supreme again? Or will either Matt Hardy or Drew Galloway fulfill their destiny.
