TGS Featured Trailer: Blade Runner 2049

After months of trickling out bits of news and teasers, we finally get ourselves a good look at a full trailer for Blade Runner 2049. Though still light on story, this trailer is full of imagery that’s a great call back to the original 1982 masterpiece by Ridley Scott. After Sicario and Arrival, I am fully aboard the Denis Villenueve hype train and can’t wait to see what he does here!

Produced by Ridley Scott and directed by the aforementioned Villenueve, Blade Runner 2049 picks up 30 years after the events of the first Blade Runner and tells the story of an LAPD Officer who stumbles on a dark secret that threatens humanity, causing him to go in search of the former Blade Runner himself, Deckard, who long ago went into hiding. Starring Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright, Jared Leto and Dave Batista, Blade Runner 2049 opens in theaters October 6, 2017.
